TheMasterofArtsOlympicStudiesdegreeprogram,whichisimplementedbytheGermanSportUniversityCologneincooperationwiththeAutonomousUniversityofBarcelona(Spain),UniversityofCanterbury(NewZealand),KielUniversity(Germany),thePontificalCatholicUniversityofRioGrandedoSul(Brazil)andAarhusUniversity(Denmark)isopenforapplicationsforits2023-2025edition.

Theprogrammeoffersamulti-andinterdisciplinaryapproachtoOlympicStudies.ItsteachingcontentsaboutthediverseaspectsoftheOlympicMovementsuchascommercialisation,marketing,professionalisation,politicisation,internationalisation,athletes’representation,administrationandpeace-buildingeffortsaresubstantiallylinkedwiththeOlympicValuesaswellassportethicalandeducationalconsiderations.

TheM.A.OlympicStudiesisafullyaccreditedMaster′sdegree,whichisstructuredasa2-yearpart-timeprogramme.Thisallowsparticipantstocontinuetheiroccupationalobligationswhilebeinginvolvedintheprogramme.TheknowledgeprovidedintheM.A.OlympicStudiescanbedirectlytransferredtotherespectivedailyworkingpracticesofparticipants,forexampleineducational,organisational,administrativeandcommunicationprojects.ThisisaclearbenefitoftheM.A.OlympicStudies.
