系统功能语言学的基本概念

系统功能语言学(system-functional linguistics)是由英国著名语言学家Halliday创立的。

Systemic Grammar is different from other linguistic theories in the following aspects

Firstly, it attaches great importance to the sociological aspects of language。

Secondly . it views language as a form of doing rather than a form of knowing. it distinguisheslinguistic behaviour potential fromactual linguistic behaviour。

Thirdly it gives a relatively high priority to description of the characteristics of particularlanguages and particularvarieties of languages。

Fourthly it explains a number of aspects of language in terms of clines (i.e.ungrammatical→moreunusual→less unusual→lessusual→grammatical)。
